This position requires a Systems Engineering Architect to use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques in the system architectures to support the Open Systems Architecture (OSA) Roadmap Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong Systems Engineering background to be applied in a software centric environment

The applicant will identify software requirements necessary to the integration of functions and capabilities into advanced system concepts and avionics architectures. Within the team, the selected candidate will participate in conceptual development, software implementation, and integration and test of open architecture services within a Service Oriented Architecture framework.

The candidate will be responsible for Systems Engineering processes including identifying, generating and managing the appropriate artifacts for product acceptance and transition. The selected individual will be responsible for the following:
• Functional and logical flow development using Rhapsody
• Participation in definition of requirements, technical trade and interface definition
• Providing support to technical content management including Roadmap development

The selected applicant will be a member of a high-performing multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. This position with entail occasional travel for team interaction and integration and test activities is required

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

***Must have a Current Active Top Secret Clearance***

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors or above degree in technical discipline

Minimum 5 years experience Object Oriented Architectures and Design

Experienced with system architect tools such as Rhapsody, DoDAF

Experience with operational modeling tools such as matlab or Simulink or other modeling tools

Desired skills
Experience Service Oriented Architecture development
Experience with the following software packages: +UML/SysML, +Rhapsody, +DOORS
Experience with DoD programs and acquisition
Experience in writing System Specification, Requirements, and Interface documents.
Experience in developing Specification trees.
Experience in Systems Engineering life cycle from design through verification/validation
Experience with DOORS, SEIT Processes and Trade Studies
Minimum 3 years experience in C/C++ or Java Languages
Experience in both Linux and Windows operating environments
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively as the position will require frequent internal interactions with project leads and other software engineers in the group
