The APEX team within Lockheed Martin SSC’s Mission Solutions business area is looking for engineers to augment our Agile Teams in support of our program, R&D, and new business pursuits. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills and a desire to have fun with your work as the position will require frequent interactions with teammates in other geographical locations. The responsibilities of this role include:

- Supporting the IT infrastructure, including continuous integration, automated builds & deployment, and automated end-to-end testing

- Creating and utilizing products, utilities, scripts, and tools to automate builds, deployment, and testing

- Maintaining development & testing environments and production-equivalent staging environments

- Troubleshooting operational tests, releases, software defects, and other issues

The APEX team within Lockheed Martin SSC’s Mission Solutions business area is looking for engineers to augment our Agile Teams in support of various programs, R&D, and new business pursuits. The selected candidate will participate in progressing DevOps capabilities including automated testing, continuous integration, automated deployment, distributed CM, and modern development tools. . As a member of a high-performing team the selected candidate must be passionate about their trade, focused on mission and system quality, and supportive of timely delivery of features and capabilities. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication skills and a desire to have fun with your work as the position may require frequent internal interactions with teammates in other geographical locations

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in an engineering or scientific discipline

Must have strong teamwork skills

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills

Linux OS background.

System provisioning tool (Chef, Ansible, Puppet, etc.) experience

Desired skills
Experience developing, deploying, and supporting AWS based systems

Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team.

Java, C/C++, or Python programming experience

Experience configuring and maintaining network devices (switches, firewalls, etc.)
