This position is responsible for Test Engineering Activities for the RKV Communications System in Huntsville, Alabama. The Candidate will be primarily responsible for developing Communications Unit Test Set (CTS) requirements, performing analyses, and managing/executing the RKV Communications System development, acceptance and qualification testing. Responsibilities include:

• Establish functional and technical specifications and standards, solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem
• Plan, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the assembly, integration and testing of components, elements, subsystems and/or systems
• Work with multidiscipline IPT teams to develop and track requirements verification validation plans, process and tests, to develop systematic diagnostics architecture and implement in system design
• Synthesize internal and external requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
• Compare analyses of preliminary design hardware to results from tests using actual hardware, and update requirements as needed
• Document results via reports and engineering memos. Communicate results to internal & external (Industry/Government) customers and support the generation of CDRLs to customers
• Write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems
• Assist in the development of white papers, proposals, and presentations
• Develop and track system level metrics
• Assist Manufacturing Engineering to establish Manufacturing Plans and execute Manufacturing Work Instruction within Automated Framework and VE-CAMS
• Assist the Property Coordinator (PC) with maintaining SAP Property Business System (PBS) records that are under their control, keeping records up to date for asset location and user information
• Use the Test Equipment Asset Management system to track calibrated test equipment, submit test equipment for calibration, and if necessary submit test equipment for calibration extensions

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered career, or journey level
• Understanding and demonstrated capability in performing analysis and requirements development
• Experience developing and implementing test methods and equipment.
• Experience compiling data and defining changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, or new testing requirements.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other organizations, all levels of management, professional and support staff, customers, potential customers, and government representatives.
• Strong analytical skills
• Self-starter excels in a team environment
• Proficiency on MS office tools
• Security Clearance Requirements: Applicant must be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance with an INTERIM SECRET required prior to start

Desired skills
• RF and Communications Background including integration, analysis, validation and verification
• Familiar with Automated Framework (AF) and VE-CAMS
• Certified Test Conductor
• FOE/FOD Certified
• Certified Crane Operator
• ESH Hardware Handling Certified
• Responsible Area Superintendent (RAS). The responsibilities of the RAS will be to verify that the area complies with Command Media and area technical requirements. The RAS will also be responsible for ensuring that any hardware or personnel entering the area and facility equipment will not negatively impact the area, facility equipment, or other operations in progress
