This position is a Weapon System Integration/Test Engineer Staff Engineer for the Weapon System Engineering Integration and Test (WSEIT) IPT of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program reporting to the WSEIT Senior Manager. The Candidate will manage White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) Flight and Element Integration test activities for the THAAD weapon systems and sub-systems for MDA/U.S. Army and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) deliverables at WSMR and other remote sites. This includes the planning and conduct of the Interceptor Communication Transponder and THAAD Radar integrations Captive Carry Test. Also the planning, integration and monitoring of hardware into prototype testing for the System Integration THAAD Multi Tier Area Defense/THAAD Missile Integration (SITMAD/TMI), the planning and execution of WSMR FMS Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) System Integration and Checkouts (SICOs). Close integration with the THAAD Radar contractor is required in both a collaborative and sub-contract technical oversite role of the technical integration of the Radar with the weapon system for Remote site testing. Additionally the candidate will manage the WSMR effort in support of THAAD Flight Test efforts. The Candidate oversees the synthesis of customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. The candidate will be responsible for estimating required resources, controlling cost accounts using Earned Value Management, and supporting proposals for new pursuits. The candidate will work closely with MDA customer counter-parts to ensure test activities are planned, resourced, and executed in an efficient and successful manner. Also required is to the development and direct preparation and execution of remote site comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Directs the following activities: establishing test and integration plans in support of weapon system test events, solving hardware/software interface problems, defining input/output parameters, and ensuring integration of the entire system or subsystem. Requires close coordination of subsystem and/or system testing activities with Systems Engineering, Hardware and Software Engineering, leadership and the customer is required to ensure success.
In addition to individual contributor responsibilities, the selected candidate will also handle "Local Leader" duties. The Local Leader is responsible for providing day to day functional oversight to engineers assigned to support remote testing within his/her technical discipline. The Local Leader will also provide solution based technical mentoring to improve program performance and to drive error free design through the use of proven tools, processes and predictive measures. This position report to the WSEIT Senior Manager and will be located at WSMR, New Mexico and travel will be required
This position is contingent on contract award which is scheduled for September 2017

Basic Qualifications
- Candidate must have a BS degree in Engineering or related test/field experience.
- Candidate must have 10 years experience as a test conductor in Integration and Test of a large scale weapon program including 5 yrs experience as launch test director
- Candidate must have experience in Test Plan developing and reporting including demonstrating system functionality to Foreign Military Sales customers as part of Initial Operations Capability (IOC) decision.
- Candidate must possess and active secret clearance

Desired skills
- THAAD program Weapon System knowledge and familiarity with the Missile Defense Agency
- Familiarity with Redstone Test center, government test labs, National test ranges, and flight test operations
- Familiarity of NTR Universal Document System Processing, range sensor management and assignments for data collection of test objectives
- Being a Certified Test Conductor (CTC) or familiar with CTC practices and certifications.
- Capability to integrate System Engineering requirements, HWIL activities to achieve program objectives
- CAM/EVM Experience or demonstrated understanding of business practices
- Greenbelt Certification
- Experience in system testing in a dynamic, fast paced environment with ability to manage multiple high priority tasks
- Experienced in communication and briefing senior level program and customer management
- Experienced with contract acquisition and execution processes of integrated Task
- Possess leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives
