Job Details

Plans, implements, tests, documents, and maintains solutions for the integration and testing of in-house developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems and/or systems in the System Integration Lab / Test Fixture 910. Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Establishes functional and technical specifications and standards, solves hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem. Reviews, evaluates and derives requirements for testability, develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems. Coordinates subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems.
This position will provide support for the U-2 Data Processing ground station on a variety of technical tasks. Candidate will enter database information derived from Measurement Request Forms (MRFs) and enter calibration data as requested by the Flight Test Plan. The successful candidate will utilize previous knowledge of airborne data acquisition equipment including advanced and legacy airborne real-time telemetry, data recording and signal processing systems. The candidate will receive and process Test Data Requests (TDRs) from System Integration Engineering for the purpose of post-flight data analysis. They will generate Time Series Analysis (TSA) capability for Project Engineering, Data Analysis Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering and subcontractors at both Site 2 and, remotely, at Plant 10. They must maintain database files and archive data as required by the records retention policy. They must also maintain classified and unclassified data, and archive on Magneto Optical (MO) media. They must provide to management, weekly and monthly Data Processing activities for the purpose of tracking performance and establishing metrics for Test and Evaluation.
The candidate will produce a variety of engineering documentation, such as installation drawings, flow charts, and schematics, to document the configuration of the Data Processing Ground Station. The candidate will act as the key individual for adherence to Security requirements and regulations. The candidate will also provide Flight Test Data Analysis Engineering support and advisement for data analysis integration coordination. These duties will include generating data plot layouts and ASCII data for Data Analysis Engineering and performing Mission Control Room liaison duties during “Real-Time” telemetry missions; assisting with special requests.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of Flight Test experience
Experience in ground station, data processing systems and airborne data acquisition systems.
Real-time Control Room experience

Excellent technical writing skills

Desired skills
Familiar with U-2 Data Systems, Real-time operator
TSA knowledge
Solid-State Recorder Knowledge, AutoCAD, CATIA
