Job Details

The qualified candidate will be part of the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) Series ATLO Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team. The individual will take part in the design/maintenance of EGSE hardware/software supporting spacecraft buildup, integration and test along with providing test engineering support to floor operations. The candidate is expected to be proficient in hardware design, troubleshooting skills, requirements generation, product development, test execution and verification activities for a 24x7 test program including launch site support. Daily tasks include:
- Integration, validation and maintenance of GOES specific EGSE (including RF test systems)
- Interface with external teams to troubleshoot EGSE and/or spacecraft performance
- Development/execution of EGSE Verification test procedures in support of mechanical/thermal environments and launch site
- Support flight and EGSE procedure/flag closure in Automation Framework
- Test Engineering console support for electrical spacecraft test operations

Basic Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college
Experience in manufacturing and/or ATLO environment with direct hardware support
Willing to work overtime supporting off shifts and weekends in a 24/7 operations environment

Desired skills
Familiar with Automation Framework
Experience with EGSE hardware integration, testing and anomaly resolution
The ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment with aggressive program schedules
Prior experience with industry standard test and measurement COTS components including power supplies, PXI platforms and associated interface cards.
Experience with RF Test and Measurement equipment and methods
Experienced in software development such as Python, Test Stand and C++
Experience with digital design and/or analog design
Ability to read, analyze and interpret various electronics engineering drawings and test procedures and reports
Experience as a Certified Test Conductor
