Job Details

Primary duties are working with Floor Operations Management Team supporting All Orion Production.
The applicant will perform specific duties to include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with overseeing Day to Day Activities of the Technician Workforce attending Operations and Scheduling Meetings, Issuing Job Assignments, Scheduling Vacations, Time Off, Overtime and Resource Allocation
- Create and/or develop mechanical/electrical manufacturing work instructions.
- Determine the sequence of build, selecting or designing required tools, solving production problems, and developing working relationships with a multi-disciplined team of people who are dedicated to effectively and efficiently plan and build mechanical piece parts and assemblies.
- Authoring and Maintaining Floor Operations and Production Assembly Documents
- Trouble shoot/correct anomalies and discrepant hardware.
- Routinely interfaces with program personnel and reports project status to leadership
- Work in databases such as Windchill, PDM, or similar

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a related discipline (Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering) or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Ability to effectively assign, prioritize work tasks and make real-time processing decisions on the floor
- Ability to plan and author procedures for Orion Spacecraft elements and provide floor support for a mechanical manufacturing and electrical environment
- Knowledge in interpretation and review of engineering drawings.
- Ability to learn & use CAD/CAM software such as CreoParametric, CreoView, EdgeCAM, Delmia
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret various technical procedures and reports.
- Ability to write reports and keep accurate documentation.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software suite
- Must be able to work off-shifts

Desired skills
- Crane Lift Experience providing Technical Expertise on Critical / Flight Hardware Lifts, Authoring of Lift Documents, Performance of actual Lifts with Review / Signoff on Lift Production Orders
- Superior People, Leadership & Communication skills allowing the ability to work with & facilitate communication among a wide range of processing support teams and individuals
- Knowledge of production manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Experience with Engineering Change Management
- Minimum of 1 year of experience demonstrating use of SAP (VE CAMS) or similar supporting software for generating manufacturing work instructions, routings, product structure, and manufacturing bill of materials(EBOM/MBOM).
- Moderate experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
