This position is for a System Engineering Principal Staff role in the C4USS System Engineering organization focused on driving a Digital Design Environment (DDE) across all Denver area market segment programs while supporting capture efforts in coordination with the Chief Engineer’s offices. In addition to support in the Denver area the candidate will be the lead Model Based Engineer on the DDE Team. They will be the key interface for Model Based Engineering across all RMS E&T market segments

Specific responsibilities include:
•Accelerate the implementation of Digital Design Environment (DDE) within existing and proposed C4USS programs with a particular focus on Model Based Engineering (MBE) adoption
•Administer functional project selection and review
•Partner with the Chief Engineering organization for CRAD pursuits and execution.
•Support technical lead positions for capture efforts in coordination with the C4USS Chief’s organization
•Support C4USS and RMS program reviews (INARs, ITRs, PARs, BRs) and capture reviews (color teams and cost reviews). Note: occasional travel (anticipated as domestic travel almost exclusively) is required
•Develop methods for assessing system engineering effectiveness, such as a return on investment (ROI) like calculations, for shaping pursuits and winning new business
•Improve our modeling practices through integration between core tools
•Use our modeling environment to create better Product Lines
•Advance the use of models across all engineering disciplines, demonstrating approaches for software, test, hardware and specialty disciplines
•Be a disciple of our Model Based Engineering Startup kits and provide guidance for the best training methods for our engineering workforce
•Incorporate metrics to support program execution utilizing MBE

Basic Qualifications
•Must have a Secret level clearance and be capable of obtaining at Top Secret Clearance
•Subject matter expertise in systems engineering
•MS degree in technical discipline
•Experience with architectural definition, requirements specification and Management for software intensive systems, integration and test
•Demonstrated experience in complex system architecture, analysis, design, integration, test, and trade studies and experience working on complex system engineering projects
•Strong Systems Engineering Lifecycle knowledge, must be process oriented and highly experienced in maturing a total system solution throughout the entire system lifecycle
•Strong oral and written communications skills
•Demonstrated interpersonal, team-building skills, strong work ethic and self-motivation
•Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and enhance skills
•Ability to influence at multiple levels in the organization without formal authority
