Become part of our team as the In-Country System Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) Lead for KF-X. This is a key position providing leadership and engineering technical assistance to the KF-X development program. KF-X is a South Korean program to develop an advanced multi-role fighter for Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon,South Korea. The KF-X program is seeking a person with extensive technical leadership experience in fighter aircraft development to serve as the team leader for the System Engineering Integration team. This position is a primary point of contact deployed in-country for advising and consulting with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) program leaders to ensure customer needs are met. The selected candidate will lead implementation of systems engineering horizontal and vertical integration improvements across the organization. In addition, the selected candidate will ensure processes are structured and resources are deployed to meet technical assistance requirements while achieving program financial objectives. Includes management of engineering processes and system design, verification, integration and system engineering across the aircraft and ground system products. The selected candidate will have high proficiency in configuration design and all associated engineering disciplines affecting baseline configuration development to effectively lead design maturation. Must be willing and able to travel internationally.Upon selection the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment.

Tasks shall include, but not be limited to, providing subject matter guidance, training and mentoring to the customer for the following:

• Configuration Development
• Configuration Management and Validation
• Systems Integration
• Air Vehicle Design/Improvements
• Flight Sciences
• Air System Systems Engineering
• Technical Integration (Horizontal and Vertical)
• Other tasks as required
• Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
The following skills are required:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
• Experience applying technical knowledge to provide expert assessment of aircraft design
• Experience mentoring and training other engineers
• Experience dealing with executive level leadership in a strong advisory role
• 10+ years technical leadership experience and project management skills
• Must have cross-discipline and aircraft system-level experience
• Experience leading engineering teams
• Fighter aircraft development experience
• Experience with military or government programs
• Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Desired skills

• Aeronautical or Structural systems design experience
• Track record of successful performance in relevant positions
• Previous military aircraft program management experience
• Experience working with international customers
• Experience with Export Control Compliance
• Experience with communicating cross-functionally

• Government Contract execution experience
• Demonstrated ability to deal with highly complex and
challenging customer and supplier relationships
• Experience leading diverse teams
• Experience with full product development life-cycle
• Prior experience with new aircraft design and development
• Prior experience working with the Korean customer / culture
