Job Details

This position directly supports the Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) Program Office. Duties will initially be performed in the Government facility located at Peterson AFB, and then the individual will transition to their in-country role in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Individual will perform as a member of the LM SEWS team supporting the LM Program Lead, CENTCOM Theater Lead, and the SEWS Government Program Office. In-country activities will include providing technical support, communications equipment and Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS-J) support and familiarization training at all installation sites, equipment installation and testing, and support to the SEWS team during Sustainment and Training (S&T) trips. The individual will also perform system engineering/design within the approved work scope, assist Centralized Distribution Facility (CDF) personnel during system outages and troubleshooting, and perform fix actions including trouble ticket input/closure. Duties also include performing fixes, changes, updates, and maintenance on SEWS equipment/software, working with the SEWS team ILS Engineer to maintain an inventory of all equipment, and assisting with equipment shipments. Candidate will identify, manage, support, update, and provide configuration management for equipment and software. Local in-country travel will be required

Basic Qualifications
Must be willing to relocate to KSA for this assignment. Must be able to obtain a KSA Driver’s License. Required skills include familiarity with Sun/Oracle Workstations, Microsoft Windows Workstations, Cisco networking equipment, point-to-point and network connectivity, integration, functional testing, problem resolution, and HW/SW configuration management. Candidate must be able to use experience to solve varied and complex problems across multiple computer platforms, communications, and cryptographic methodologies. Good customer relationship, cultural sensitivity, and communication skills are required

Desired skills
Desired skills include familiarity with analog and digital encryption methodologies, Voice over IP (VoIP), Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN), Missile Event Information (MEI), Theater Event System (TES), GCCS-J, equipment installation and testing, Visio drawing development, and Information Assurance. Networking experience with Cisco and Virtual Private Networks (VPN) is desired. Training experience is a plus. Candidate must possess or obtain a qualifying 8570 certification within 180 days of hire date
