This position is for a structure design and liaison & material review board (MRB) engineer. The candidate will have a complete understanding in the field of aircraft structural design and will have a broad knowledge of all related disciplines. This position will require the successful applicant work under general direction and independently determine and develop solutions. The candidate will be responsible for the layout and detail modeling of aircraft structure, structural assemblies, participation in trade studies, creation and maintenance of interface control drawings, and coordination with Integrated Product Teams.

Liaison tasks will include the disposition of non-conforming airframe and subsystem parts and assemblies, investigation of manufacturing issues, design of repairs, interpretation of drawings and specifications for manufacturing. Subsystems will include fuel system, controls system, environmental control system, hydraulic system, mechanisms and landing gear. Candidate will coordinate efforts across a wide range of functional organizations, such as Quality Assurance, Planning, Tooling, Structural Analysis, Materials & Processes, Flight Sciences, Test and Manufacturing. Occasional liaison engineering coverage of second shift required

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant must have an Interim Secret Clearance to start and be able to obtain a final secret security clearance

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or above degree in an Engineering Discipline
• Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool

Desired skills
• Previous Material Review Board (MRB) authority
• Experience with metallic and composite design and repair
• Experience with primary and secondary structure design
• Experience with CATIA V4 and V5
• Experience with hand analysis for initial part layout
