Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for KF-X effort. This program provides technical assistance to Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multirole fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. The KF-X program is seeking a person with experience with Structural Design Criteria and development of Static Loads. The successful candidate will provide technical advice (to include training, guidance, support, and development assistance) to KAI engineers through the Design and Development phases of the program. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea and responsibilities include:

• Review several criteria documents (ex. airframe general spec, structural design criteria, etc.)
• Provide consultation on the static loads analysis procedure
• Review the flight maneuvers and the store loading configurations for static loads analysis
• Review and provide feedback on the process and procedure for developing the aerodynamic database made from wind tunnel data or computational fluid dynamics
• Review and provide feedback on the flexible aero increment generated by structural deformation
• Review the selection of critical load conditions for stress analysis and review the DLL (design limit load) envelope at each airframe station
• Support Preliminary Design Review (PDR) related to static loads, and provide guidance on static loads issues for the Critical Design Review (CDR)

In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and train and mentor customer engineers. Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment. Must be a US Citizen. Candidate must be able to relocate internationally

Basic Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
• 7+ years related experience directly applicable to this position

Desired skills
The following are desired:

• Experience mentoring or training engineers on diverse teams
• Significant experience in managing design criteria and conducting the load analysis for fighter-level airframe, and leading the airframe-scale development project
• Proficient computer skill to edit computer codes by oneself using computer languages (C, Fortran, Python, Matlab and so on) and to visualize the various results with Excel, Matlab, Tecplot, Patran, etc

Additionally:
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Experience with military or government programs
• Experience working with international customers, particularly the Korean Government or culture
• Experience with Export Control Compliance
