The Dynamics / Stress Design Engineer / Analyst will be responsible for:
Performing preliminary and detailed level dynamics/stress design and analysis of aerospace electronic components, spacecraft structures, and test fixturing using standardized processes and tools. Providing stress/dynamics technical memos and input to data packages to support peer and customer reviews
Presenting resultant stress/dynamics design and analysis data to product team
Providing test input/instrumentation data to environmental test personnel and collaborating with lead engineering personnel to interpret/correlate static and dynamic test results. Understanding and incorporating other applicable mechanical (thermal, materials, etc.) and system level requirements/parameters into the stress and dynamics analyses
Developing weight-optimized, compliant flightworthy components and structural assemblies which satisfy the contractural design criteria as well as any producibility requirements defined by Manufacturing and Quality

Basic Qualifications
Working experience with Siemens NX NASTRAN Static and Dynamic solutions and NX FEM/FEA software or equivalent. Microsoft Office (Excel, WORD, PowerPoint). knowledge of and applicable experience with spacecraft dynamic / acoustic test methods, hand calculation experience for mechanical joints. Must have significant knowledge and experience with GEO satellite programs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desired skills
Advanced Static / Dynamic and/or non-linear analysis experience. NX 8.5 experience, LM A2100 spacecraft, antenna, and/or component analysis experience, experience with DVPRO tool set for pre & post-processing NASTRAN output. CREO experience. Vibration, acoustic, modal, shock test experience of aerospace flight hardware
