Job Details

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Systems Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX to provide system engineering design and analysis support for advanced development missile programs. Engineer to lead and facilitate new designs, updates, enhancements, and defect corrections to Mission Planning software products in the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) environment.

Tasks include: requirements analysis, software change report creation/management/tracking, updating software and design requirement specifications, updating test procedures, software integration, test, troubleshoot, and requirement verification, including assembly and packaging of final software installable products. Engineer will support customer and associate contractor interactions. Experience integrating software components from several different vendors and working with associate contractors is desirable. Travel may be required. Operating system experience on PC/Windows is desirable. Mission planning experience, and/or software development experience, is a plus.

Basic Qualifications
Must have a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Software, Systems or Computer Engineering, or a related discipline with 9 years of experience supporting technical programs

Desired skills
Familiarity with military systems, including missiles, sensors and their sub-systems
Familiarity with aircraft and mission planning
Familiar with implementing software on PC/Windows OS
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including working with subcontractors or similar
Experience developing software and/or mission planners such as JMPS
Experience deriving software/behavioral requirements from system level requirements
Competent with a requirement management tool, such as DOORs or similar tool
Experience with software integration and test
Ability to travel
Experience in interface definition
Preferred Secret clearance investigated within the last 5 years
