What You'll Do:

As our Staff Electrical Engineer - A/V Products, you will work at the Jack E. Caveney Innovation Center, where you will have access to some of the most advanced testing labs in the world. You will bring your hands-on expertise to the entire development process, from concept to prototype to production. As an integral part of designing this new product line, you will work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Product Managers, and company leaders, all dedicated to creating, testing, and implementing end-to-end solutions for our enterprise customers. This role will encompass everything from CAD layout, PCB design, prototyping, analysis, and testing, to coordinating with Product Managers on specs, customer insights, competitive analysis, project planning, product innovation and more. 

Your blend of technical talent and business acumen will enable you to be our Subject Matter Expert and go-to resource on audiovisual product design as you mentor others and guide our path to success in this new product area. Additional responsibilities will include responding to customer technical inquiries, addressing quality concerns, ensuring regulatory and environmental compliance, and collaborating with manufacturing to improve processes and lower production costs.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering is required; MSEE is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience is desirable
  • A/V applications and protocols (HDMI, HDBaseT, USB, AV-over-IP)
  • A/V control systems, extenders, switchers, scalers
  • Product design for passive and active A/V devices
  • Troubleshooting A/V product or application issues
  • Proven track record of successful project management
