Join MITRE and perform/lead reliability, maintainability, and availability (RMA) engineering activities on various government programs spanning a variety of technologies.



Key Functions:


  • RMA requirements development and specifications 

  • System modeling and analyses

  • Design reviews and assessments 

  • Test planning and evaluations 

  • Failure analyses, corrective actions, and reliability growth 

  • And field evaluations and sustainment support. 
Depending on his/her abilities, the candidate may lead engineering tasks, and participate in RMA infrastructure and technology development efforts

Required Qualifications:



  • RMA or operations research or systems engineering background. 

  • Familiar with RMA predictions and models. 

  • Familiar with FRACAS process 

  • Familiar with RMA testing including Reliability growth tests. 

  • Ability to formulate RMA requirements. 

  • Familiar with RMA tools
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a BS in engineering and 5 to 10 years of hands on experience performing reliability engineering activities. Advanced degree and additional experience are preferred. 

  • Knowledge of reliability growth theory and tools and performing RMA testing
Minimum Qualifications:
  • BS and 1 year experience or MS
