Lockheed Martin is seeking a Sr. Software Configuration Analyst for a position in Orlando, FL. Responsibilities include:

Develops, maintains, and analyzes changes of product hardware and software designs to determine the effect to overall product and system design impacts.

Performs configuration management and release engineering analysis to ensure new product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.

Reviews and analyzes released engineering plans to ensure that customer requirements are implemented while maintaining compliance with company configuration management, quality assurance, contractual, and engineering policies.

Trains engineering and technology personnel in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of configuration management standards.

Maintains the Integrated Process Group (IPG) release process for software and hardware configuration items.

Works with program and engineering personnel to coordinate and manage various process reviews. Implements long term organizational objectives for hardware and software process improvement needed to maintain CMMI maturity level 3, ISO 9000, and IEEE 15288 compliance

Basic Qualifications

Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance

Configuration management experience in a Department of Defense and / or Commercial

Experience with electronic data vaulting and digital data handling and in-depth understanding of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Y14 drafting, drawing and documentation standards

Strong technical background

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships are a must

Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, technical writing experience, and an ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups

Must be able to work well in a team environment and work well with various levels of management Strong attention to detail and must be able to work with minimal supervision

Proficient with and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of Contracts

Candidate must be willing to work overtime and travel as needed to support program requirements

Desired skills

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding and experience of CMMI process method and 4-6 years of experience with CM of hardware/software

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree and experience with Product Data Management tools is desired

Ability to quickly learn new software tools and processes a plus
