Project Engineer supporting Australian Submarine Combat System (ASCS) systems integration activities. Will be a part of the Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) team. Will assist SI&T leaders to plan, budget, implement, test, document, and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of integrated system architectures. Must support team members and be able to respond to actions quickly. Must be able to synthesize SI&T needs and requirements into system Integration and test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints. Will assist creating the definition of test input/output parameters and solve hardware/software interface problems, through individual effort and/or direction of team members. Will be expected to understand engineering documentation such as System Requirements Documents and Interface Control Documents. May be asked to assist in the development of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules. May be called upon to generate and/or review submarine equipment design constraints, equipment installation criteria, installation control drawings, electric and cooling load analysis, and cabling diagrams and run sheets. Will be expected to write Program Trouble Reports to document issues. Will be required to document integration and test activities in specified requirements databases, logs, and reports.

Position will involve close interaction with the Boat contractor, ASCS Program Management, LM-RMS Technical Operations, and LM Australia personnel. Will need to foster a good working relationship with the ASCS customer and partners and make the customer comfortable that their needs have been translated and represented into a total solution. In order to be successful at this position, must be willing to work off-shift and extended shifts in support of program milestones

Position will entail EDY to France. Expected duration is 3 years

Basic Qualifications
- Ability to coordinate technical and programmatic tasking.
- Ability to conduct technical analysis of product anomalies and communicate effectively the resolution to the problem
- Ability to coordinate customer interactions at program and technical reviews.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Exceptional teaming skills
- Demonstrated ability to support cost estimating tasks and planning efforts for SI&T engineering services projects
- Minimum 3 years experience in design, integration, and/or installation engineering with knowledge of USN undersea combat system equipment
- Ability to relocate

Desired skills
- Familiarity with Combat System Alignment, and adaptation data processes and tools.
- Knowledge of systems requirements, validation, and verification concepts
- Familiarity with the latest applicable Military Specifications for electrical and optical cable, connector, backshell, and system design, integration, and integrity testing.
- Knowledge of Military Specifications and Standards related to bonding and grounding of equipment on Navy Ships, MIL-STD-1310, MIL –STD-1399, and MIL-STD-901D (shock).
- Knowledge of Military Specifications and Standards related to ship cooling systems and components
- Prior submarine operational experience
