The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the following areas:
• Design our next generation aircraft blending emerging requirements and technologies
• Develop concepts using sizing and attribute tools
• Conduct trade studies to understand alternatives and make rational decisions
• Become adept at using a range of methods, processes and tools

Technical Expertise – Champion skills and expertise of the group, specifically the area of aircraft conceptual layout and design. Ensure a well-grounded understanding of fundamental physics and engineering.
• Be adept at learning and using a range of methods, processes and tools.
• Use these skills to execute rapid turnaround of layout and design where understanding of a wide range of options is important prior to more focused efforts.
• Use these skills to execute layout and design where detail and a higher level of fidelity are important.
• Ensure the efficient transfer of information and data to others
Methods, Processes and Tools - Mature tools that minimize error and maximize understanding. This includes maximizing user friendly and adaptability as technologies, methods, processes change. Manage the short and long term adequacy of our tools. Manage a suite of rapid layout and design tools

Basic Qualifications
We are looking for design / layout oriented people experienced in the specialized environment of Conceptual and Preliminary Design having a solid foundation in helicopter principles. This includes a broad knowledge of helicopter (air vehicle) structures and systems, the ability to loft and create vehicle layouts using CATIA, the ability to apply basic physics and aerodynamics to conceptually define vehicles / systems, to generate graphical and written documentation using Microsoft suite of tools
Applicants should be ready to provide a portfolio of previous work including relevant images, drawings, pictures, analyses, products, trade studies, etc. Occasional travel may be required
Ability to obtain SECRET Clearance

Desired skills
Possession or ability to obtain SECRET clearance is highly desirable
Leadership experience, including directing, coordinating, and mentoring, multi-disciplined Engineering teams
