Sr. Electrical Product Engineer - Twisted Pair Copper Cable And Solutions
Tinley Park, Illinois - Full Time

If you are a highly-motivated electrical engineer whose expertise includes both theory and practical hands-on knowledge of products similar to our quality connectors, copper cables, and cable assemblies, we're looking for someone like you!  Chances are, if you are reading this job posting online, the data for this posting has passed through Panduit connectors and cable that our engineers have designed. In this unique role, you will be mentored by an engineering leader who knows more about the products than anyone else at the company, and who will help you become a subject matter expert within our industry-leading company.

As our Senior Electrical Product Engineer you will work at the Jack E. Caveney Innovation Center, where you will have access to some of the most advanced testing labs in the world. You will be involved with your products as they go through the entire development process, from concept to high-volume production. You will manage outside vendors, and coordinate projects and resources with internal teams, including Business Development, Corporate R&D, Lab Technicians, Sales, Support, and Global Supply Chain.

What You'll Do:

•    Develop and manage projects involving new products and enhancements to existing products, using all aspects of the product development process, including competitive analysis, project planning, product innovation, resource and cost estimating, scheduling and budget planning. Coordinate with Product Management to create specifications for new products based on customer input.

•    Provide project management and engineering support for existing product lines by responding to customer technical inquiries, address quality concerns, insure regulatory and environmental compliance, handle product application issues/questions, collaborate with manufacturing cells to improve efficiency or lower production costs, and provide general technical support to handle the day to day business needs.

•   Manage coordination with global vendors and suppliers who contribute to the production and distribution process.
