Job Details

Assists and supports the C130J MATS program to include but not limited to the following: prepares, issues, updates and maintains virtual hosts and clients used to support C130J Training students in both military network and non-military network environments. Ensures compliance with current DOD cyber security and 8570 account requirements. Will ensure current recoverable backups of all virtual hosts and clients

Basic Qualifications
•Experience in network administration is considered comparable
•Prior Network administrator experience
•Experience in Layer 2 and 3 Networking
•Experience with network routers, switches, and firewalls
•Demonstrated ability to analyze and prepare designs for networks in relation to intrusion detection systems
•Ability to build and work with Network modeling tools
•Demonstrated experience with the management, design, and installation of servers, routers, switches, and network taps in a business environment
•Extensive troubleshooting experience with Windows operating systems
•Extensive troubleshooting experience with network hardware including but not limited to Extreme/Palo Alto/Cisco switches, and routers
•Systems administration experience with servers and network installations/integrations
•Experience with virtual hosts and clients
•Three to five (3 to 5) years’ experience in network analysis or hardware troubleshooting and repairs in a real time environment (experience must be current)
•Must be capable of attaining a SECRET clearance

Desired skills
•Comptia Security + Certification
•Experience in both Windows and Unix/Linux systems administration and operating systems
•Experience working within the DoD infrastructure
•Working knowledge of IDPs, Firewalls, Routers, SSL VPN platforms
•CompTIA Network+ and A+ and Microsoft IT certifications
•Microsoft Certified Engineer (MSCE)
•Associate’s degree in Information Technology field
•Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology field
•Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts, in the field.
•General knowledge of other related disciplines.
•Prior Network administrator experience - Experience in Layer 2 and 3
