Structural Strength Analyst for AMMM program (P-3, C-5, C-130, and LM-100J) responsible for performing structural analysis on new and modified designs of airframe structure and mechanism parts. Responsibilities include strength analysis of primary and secondary structure and mechanisms, providing support to Production during airframe manufacture, and providing problem resolution support to fielded aircraft. Mentor junior engineers

Basic Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Knowledge of fundamental engineering mechanics, such as engineering statics, Dynamics, Strength of Materials, is required. Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Word and MS Excel is required

Desired skills
Exposure and experience with UNIX operating system, Windows programming, VBA, FORTRAN and C++ is desired. Familiarity with aircraft load paths and stability of structure is desired. Knowledge and proficiency in Finite Element Modeling analysis and methods is desired. Knowledge of crack growth analysis is desired. Experience with structural analysis and design software such as NASTRAN, PATRAN, ABAQUS, and CATIA V5 desired. MS or higher degree in AE, ME, EM, or CE preferred. Previous stress analysis experience with P-3, C-5, or C-130 aircraft is desired. Experience with structural analysis and qualification of aircraft systems is desired. Experience with landing gear systems is desired
