Job Details

Position to support existing and future A2100 wins this year. The Electrical Systems Engineer (ESE) will provide primary support for one program plus support New Business, IRAD, and support ESE's on other programs as needed.
The Electrical Systems Engineer (ESE) shall be responsible for leading or providing support for another ESE, coordinating all efforts associated with Electrical BUS subsystems for a specific program or for multiple programs. The ESE function requires coordination with the design group, Spacecraft Customer, Program Office, Product Teams and New Business Development. The Systems Engineer will provide electrical integration support for A2100 satellite programs, including support of Advanced Concepts and New Business Development as required. The ESE will work under the supervision of a Chief systems engineer and/or the Manager, Systems Engineering. During the design stage of spacecraft development, the ESE will generate presentation packages for various design reviews including but not limited to SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, PCA. The ESE will be the CPE of the Bus (or as a minimum, a delegate) in the CPE hierarchy, with several other subsystems rolling up under his authority.
The individual must possess good communication skills and be able to interface with all areas of the business including Program Management Office (PMO), Design Engineering, AI&T, vendors, and the customer. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required. Familiarity with database software tools such as Filemaker Pro is desired. Familiarity with the A2100 satellite design and/or testing is desired. The ESE will support mission operations effort on Government and/or Commercial programs. The ESE will coordinate development and maintenance of Spacecraft documents and test plans including all ESE related data products. During the execution phase of spacecraft integration, the ESE will support daily operations and forward planning including but not limited to TRRs, MRBs, FRBs, closure of MRB, FRB and TRR action items, system engineering data review - all relating to Electrical activities including initial spacecraft BUS testing, preparations for and execution of spacecraft TVAC testing, preparations for and execution of spacecraft dynamic testing, preparations for and execution of spacecraft final Bus tests. Support will also be required during payload range testing and launch site testing. The ESE will support final spacecraft data report generation for pre ship review
Support of spacecraft during Single Line Flow assembly, integration, & test operations, customer reviews and Launch Campaigns in remote locations, possibly for significant durations, will be required

Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of spacecraft Bus subsystems and troubleshooting during AI&T electrical operations either from previous design or ATLO experience
Strong electrical aptitude.
Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Familiarity with satellite/aerospace design and test principles.
BS degree in electrical engineering or related degree

Desired skills
Familiarity with A2100/A2100TR electrical BUS subsystems and AI&T processes
Familiarity with database software tools such as Filemaker Pro
Familiarity with A2100/A2100TR satellite design and test, Single line flow operations, launch site and post launch campaign support
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related Electrical Discipline
Ability to obtain a security clearance
