Job Details

Develop and support software applications for clients focusing on software testing, defect management, risk management and quality assurance (QA): Study client’s business process to gather, analyze, identify and define the need and requirements in software solutions. Map the requirements to the test cases using the traceability matrix for tracking purposes. Convert business process into automation scripts. Develop and execute manual test cases based on business requirements. Analyze the functional and technical design documents and converted them to test scenarios. Develop test strategies, test plans, test scripts, test cases and test environment through the software life development cycle. Implement and comply with client’s test standards, procedures and methodologies. Design, develop and execute manual, automation and load test scenarios and scripts. Provide test script execution acceptance criteria. Design and execute the acceptance test criteria within an agile sprint environment. Work on automating web services testing. Perform complete end-to-end testing covering all key business functionalities. Collaborate within client’s Scrum team to provide quality validation throughout DevOps. Design and execute manual tests, including exploratory testing. Test on mainframe, client server and desktop technologies. Use various test methodologies, including black box, white box, functional and regression test. Analyze testing results and design defects, and provide recommendations to development team. Identify, evaluate, implement and maintain automated test tools and suites. Prepare test report. Participate in go-live activities and provide post go-live support. Use UFT/QTP, ClearQuest, HP Quality Center, Selenium, Rational Robot, SoapUI, LISA, Rational Enterprise Suite, MS Visio, HP ALM, Rational RequisitePro, DOORS, Documentum, Jira, C, C++, Java, PL/SQL, JSP, HTML, XML, XSL, VB, MS Windows 2000/XP/2003, Unix, AIX, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, MS Access, DB2, MS IIS, WebLogic, WebSphere, MS Project, MS Office, FTP, Ultra Edit, WinSCP and Rumba.


Bachelor or its foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering. 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation as an Applications Developer, Systems Analyst, Programmer Analyst, or Quality Assurance(QA) Analyst. The required 5 years of work experience must include at least 2 years of experience with UFT (or its formal name, QTP), Java, Clear Quest, HP Quality Center (or its formal name, Mercury Quality Center), and Oracle. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

The employer is located in Troy, Michigan but the job site of the present position is various unanticipated clients sites in the U.S.
