Job Details

Candidate will be expected to perform all aspects of Software Configuration Management (SCM) on various programs. Candidate will perform and manage builds on multiple software baselines in a controlled environment. Candidate will maintain the SCM tool/system including management, generation, collection and distribution of code, documentation, change processing, software build documents, change boards and delivery of software products to operational environments. Position requires a self-starter with SCM and Software Engineering background. Candidate shall identify the appropriate software configuration standards and policies for program use and ensure proper adherence. Candidate will manage builds on multiple software baselines - management of third party products and COTS integrated with the product. Candidate will review change requests submitted for approval to ensure completeness and compliance to configuration and program standards. Candidate will facilitate and participate in Change Control Boards (CCBs), ensuring change management is practiced throughout the program life cycle. Candidate will support program proposal activities including preparation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to support Configuration Management requirements. Candidate will support monthly control account analysis as a Work Package Manager. Candidate will support program Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)

Basic Qualifications
- Software Configuration Management and/or Software Engineering experience
- Self-starter; ability to work without direction
- Strategic visionary and ability to lead versus task-oriented
- Ability to support multiple programs
- Ability to handle multiple deadlines and prioritize workload
- Technical experience in software development lifecycle
- Experience with Agile development
- Familiar with both UNIX and Windows operating systems
- Proficient in the set up and use of software tools
- Understand handling and owning classified materials
- Strong communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Solid attention to details
- Ability to embrace change and drive implementation of changes where needed
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance

Desired skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products including Access
- Record retention knowledge
- Understanding of proper product markings
- Understanding of software code architecture and experience building/compiling software
- Software Engineering and software development experience
- Experience with defining and implementing Software Configuration Management policies, procedures, processes, and tools
- Proficient in the administration and configuration of Software CM tools (specifically JIRA, Subversion, git, Jenkins, and Windchill/EPDM)
- Finance knowledge (Control Account Manager (CAM) or Work Package Manager)
- Ability to author program plans such as a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and Software Version Description (SVD)
- Familiarity with industry standards, AS9100, and CMMI related to Configuration Management
- Understanding of Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs)/Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs)
