Simulator Test Engineer Staff for the F-35 Program, responsible for the formal testing and quality assurance of an effective, integrated F-35 Pilot Training System. Apply fighter pilot subject matter expertise to daily assignments as it relates to managing formal test events and system discrepancies

Operations and tests performed in this position include, but are not limited to, weapons employment, multi-ship combat tactics, combat mission scenarios, mission planning, concurrent utilization of multiple sensors, countermeasures employment, pilot training, and documentation development for these tests. Additional tasks include developing detailed test plans and procedures to support the ongoing and projected simulation test programs, supporting software model verification by conducting tests to collect data, performing face-value assessments of simulation and scenario validity, interviewing subject pilots and operators to obtain subjective results, and performing qualitative analysis of the resulting data

Basic Qualifications
Candidate must have relevant experience in the following areas:
- Developing requirements, detailed test plans and verification procedures
- Military Pilot Academic and Simulator Training
- Tactical aviator with fourth or fifth generation fighter platform experience.
- Air-to-air and air-to-ground combat tactics in high performance fighters
- Weapons employment, multi-ship combat tactics, combat mission scenarios, mission planning, concurrent utilization of multiple sensors, and countermeasures employment

Clear, concise, and coherent oral and written communication skills are a must:
- Prepare test plans and simulation scenarios
- Brief and debrief pilots who will participate in large-scale simulation exercises.

Must exhibit strong organizational abilities; candidate is expected to handle multi-tasking and multiple program challenges, customer issues, and team dynamics.

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level security clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) access

Desired skills
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience flying high performance (4th/5th generation) fighters as well as working knowledge of development, test, and evaluation of weapon systems. Experience in the use of real-time simulation to perform design, evaluation, and test and verification of fighter weapon system performance is desirable. Familiarity with cockpit integration, human factors issues, test planning, data collection, pilot vehicle interface, and manned simulation for weapon system test and evaluation is desirable.

In addition, relevant F-35 experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Experience with F-35 pilot training curriculum
- Familiarity with F-35 program requirements
- F-35 system knowledge
- F-35 Full Mission Simulator experience
- Currently possess F-35 Program special access
