Job Details

As part of the Simulation and Systems Integration Labs (SimSIL) organization, the candidate will conduct full mission man-in-the-loop simulation operations and tests. The selected candidate will support Air Combat Simulation efforts for F-22 and/or F-35. Operations and tests performed in this position include, but are not limited to, weapons employment, multi-ship combat tactics, combat mission scenarios, mission planning, concurrent utilization of multiple sensors, countermeasures employment, pilot training, and documentation development for these tests. Additional tasks include developing detailed test plans and procedures to support the ongoing and projected simulation test programs, supporting software model verification by conducting tests to collect data, performing face-value assessments of simulation and scenario validity, interviewing subject pilots and operators to obtain subjective results, and performing qualitative analysis of the resulting data
Selected candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule when required to support lab development and integration activities to meet program needs. On occasion, the odd shifts could include nights and/or weekends. Selected candidate must be willing to travel occasionally within the United States if required to meet program needs

This position requires a Final Secret Clearance to start

Basic Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires a Final Secret Clearance to start

Experience performing air-to-air and air-to-ground combat tactics in high performance fighters is required.
Experience with weapons employment, multi-ship combat tactics, combat mission scenarios, mission planning, concurrent utilization of multiple sensors, countermeasures employment, and pilot training is required. Excellent communication skills will be necessary to prepare test plans and simulation scenarios, and to brief and debrief pilots who will participate in large-scale simulation exercises
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering/Technical Field

Desired skills
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience flying high performance (4th/5th generation) fighters as well as working knowledge of development, test, and evaluation of weapon systems. Experience in the use of real-time simulation to perform design, evaluation, and test and verification of fighter weapon system performance is desirable. Familiarity with cockpit integration, human factors issues, test planning, data collection, pilot vehicle interface, and manned simulation for weapon system test and evaluation is desirable. Experience developing requirements, detailed test plans and verification procedures is also desirable
