Lockheed Martin is seeking an emerging Systems Analysis Engineer to focus on Servo Development, Analysis, Trades, and Integration. This candidate must be proficient in MATLAB and Simulink as well as object oriented programming. A basic knowledge of servo power amplifier, sensor performance parameters, and inertial stabilization techniques is required. The servo system is a podded three-axis Line of Sight inertial stabilization controller hosted by an airborne platform requiring in-flight scanning and aero disturbance rejection. The candidate will run simulations and data analysis tools to support flight test activities. The test results will be compared to customer requirements and simulation predictions. The candidate will provide problem identification and resolution with minimum support. The candidate will be required to establish and meet schedule commitments

Servo and Stabilization systems engineers are tasked to design precision gimbal control stabilization for airborne electro-optic (EO) sensor systems. This typically requires the development of closed loop control models and specification of gimbal mechanics for new sensor systems. The engineer is required to define the control system architecture and evaluate design concepts for required performance capabilities

Basic Qualifications
Servo and Stabilization engineers must have experience with feedback controls, gimbal stabilization, and inertial sensors such as gyros, accelerometers and IMUs. These engineers must have design experience and hands-on hardware testing experience. They must have experience modelling 3D dynamic systems in MATLAB/Simulink or a similar simulation environment. Experience is also required with digital and analog electronics such as drive amplifiers, motors, ADC, position resolvers, etc

Candidate must have an interim secret clearance prior to start

Desired skills
Candidate must have good communications skills
MATLAB, Simulink experience is highly desired

An understanding of optimal estimation in applications such as target tracking, navigation and transfer alignment is also a plus
