Job Details

This job requires a Welder/Fabricator with the ability to operate weld equipment, acetylene torches, plasma cutters, hand grinders, saws & drill presses in the welding in the fabrication and assembly of structures, tooling and piping systems. This includes the fit-up, material preparation and performance of TIG & MIG processes in aluminum, stainless and carbon steel materials to engineering and the applicable welding code specification. The availability to work Overtime, when needed, to meet schedule is required

Basic Qualifications
The candidate must be able to:
1. Successfully obtain Certification in TIG & MIG process within the Company established WPS per the AWS code on aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel materials in multiple ranges and/or positions
2. Set-up welding equipment and perform TIG & MIG processes per WPS, AWS code and/or Engineering drawing specifications which requires the ability to read, interpret engineering drawings and a thorough knowledge of the AWS welding code.
3. Must be able to perform all material preparation per the AWS code, determine layouts, and account for weld shrinkage and/or deformation of welded parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
4. Must be able to utilize measuring tools and self-inspect completed work

Desired skills
Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator and proficient in the operation of welding & fabrication tools. The ability to review engineering drawings, determine time estimates and provide manufacturability feed-back with the intent to reduce fabrication costs. A track record of self-improvement to increase ones knowledge in the field. Determines layouts and welds parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ability to provide input to the development of welding processes and tooling/fixture design, and into the selection of welding tooling and equipment. The ability to work in a diverse team environment, clean as you go and proactively engage and adhere to safety regulations and Company policy
