Job Details

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Senior Technologist specializing in Autonomy to accelerate research, development, and demonstration of autonomous capabilities. Key responsibilities include:

• Shaping corporate and business area autonomy strategy planning
• Serving as a Technical Ambassador for key customers, academia and technical societies
• Engaging and collaborating with commercial Artificial Intelligence and Autonomy Systems companies
• Driving innovation and technology maturation
• Architecting key customer autonomous solutions
• Collaborating with and advising the Autonomy community across the enterprise

Basic Qualifications
-Proven outstanding technical credentials, including a Ph.D
-Proven personal experience operating as the primary technical representative of a U.S. organization (industry, academia, or government)
-Experience interacting with very senior and executive leaders in industry, government, academia and developing key technology strategies

Experience in & Understanding of:
- AI (Artificial Intelligence), machine learning, perception, and cognition
- Machine-machine coordination, communication, and collaboration
- Human-machine interaction, interfaces, augmentation, and trust
- Verification, validation, test, and evaluation of Autonomous Systems

Desired skills
-Experience as a high performing science and technology leader with extensive experience and thought leadership shaping complex research and development programs
-Successful demonstration of experience working across large organizations to implement innovative technologies and business models
-Excellent communication and public speaking skills
