Proven experience in Systems Engineering skills. Individual must be self starter with above average interpersonal communication skills. Individual must be process oriented, proactive, and work well across functional boundaries.

Responsibilities: The selected individual will perform functions in support of Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program at Cape Canaveral AFS. Selected individual will be assigned the POC for the coordination, integration, and status of Mechanical Support Equipment (SE) development and modification and lead Mechanical and Fleet problem investigations. The selected individual will support project planning meetings and prioritization efforts. Selected individual will perform requirements development, risk assessment, lead requirement and design reviews, support project performance reviews, lead and/or support TIMs and working groups, provide integration between projects, coordinate systems engineering efforts with SEIT; coordinate and lead SE development and alteration proposals, support the hardware testing/proofing exercises, investigate SE concerns at Strategic Weapon Facilities (SWF), review failure history of SE to identify trends/issues, coordinate issues with associate contractors and lead corrective action activities. The selected individual will be expected to prepare comprehensive evaluations and technical reports. Must be able to take on multiple tasks and reprioritize efforts based on customer or program requirements. The selected individual will be required to report progress routinely to LM and SSP management

Selected person will be knowledgeable, cognizant, and able to work within a multi-Customer environment, multiple principles, and business processes; fully comprehend FBM contractual requirements, be an advocate for Common Integrated Processes (CIPs) and Command Media; and coordinate cross-branch and inter-contractor efforts, investigations and projects. Understand and use coordination drawings, fleet and facility procedural, maintenance, operation and production documentation as well as customer notices and instructions to execute responsibilities

*Ability to obtain Secret Clearance required for this role

Basic Qualifications
Systems Engineering experience related to mechanical design or operational/procedural development
Experience with Concept of Operations development (CONOPS), requirements/interface definition and systems integration
Problem investigation and/or root cause analysis experience
Requires strong working knowledge of typical office computer software applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint
Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education

Desired skills

Knowledge of Trident II (D5) missile systems and processing requirements Knowledge of missile/component handling/transportation/assembly/test/loading operations and associated support equipment (SE)
Knowledge of EPDM and/or Space Systems Command media
Demonstrated responsibility as task lead
