Job Details

Experienced aerodynamicist sought to support high speed munition dispense effort. Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Build 6DOF aerodynamic databases based on missile DATCOM, CFD, and wind tunnel testing
-Analyze safe separation characteristics with CFD analysis
-Conduct aerodynamic characterization analysis across flight envelop for 6DOF simulation
-Support high speed wind tunnel planning and testing, to include freestream force and moment testing, flowfield characterization, and captive trajectory system testing

Basic Qualifications
Minimum BS degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent is required. Understanding of missile aerodynamics and flight performance. Experience in missile or rocket configuration design and aerodynamics analysis. Previous CFD coursework or experience. FORTRAN, Matlab, or C++ experience. Familiarity with compressible aerodynamics. Understanding of wind tunnel test practices

The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Candidates should be comfortable giving presentations to program leadership and government customers

Minimum secret clearance is required prior to start

Desired skills
Experience with Falcon or STAR-CCM+ CFD codes
Supersonic wind tunnel test experience
Store separation and capture analysis experience
Ground and/or flight test planning and execution experience
