Epic Systems Corporation has multiple openings for Senior Software Systems Developers in Verona, WI.

DUTIES: Plan, initiate and manage large scale information technology projects, which can include: leading, guiding or supervising the work of other software development personnel; monitoring progress to assure adherence to scope, schedule and software quality and programming standards; and serving as liaison to product leadership. Consult with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to analyze architecture and other requirements for, and to set functionality and other specifications pertaining to, complex computer systems, databases and software applications. Independently design and develop software for such systems, databases and applications to ensure stability, scalability, performance, security, reliability and fully-integrated functionality of such systems, databases and applications (including full integration of new applications into existing enterprise database systems). Participate in videoconferences and Webcalls to communicate with customer representatives regarding ongoing and upcoming projects as well as future product direction.  Position involves domestic travel to customer sites of approximately 5-15%; trips typically last no more than 2-3 days.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, CIS, Electrical Engineering or other related field, and 5 years of software engineering or similar software design/development work experience.

Must have work experience in software product development through the entire development lifecycle for at least three complete new version release cycles, and one year of software development work experience in each of two distinct application domains.

Work experience also must include one year in: (i) programming in M/Cache, (ii) adapting to and applying new programming languages and techniques, (iii) designing and implementing large, high-transactional throughput master-file data models and (iv) working with distributed database and query systems; as well as six months in: (i) conducting performance analysis and tuning of such data models and systems, and (ii) employing user-centered design methodology to create technical and workflow designs for highly scalable distributed enterprise systems.
