Be part of a dynamic team that provides Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computing, and Intelligence (C4I) Systems Engineering for Surface Warfare systems and full-spectrum fleet operations. MITRE San Diego is growing, and seeks candidates with exceptional leadership capabilities, technical skills, and domain expertise ready to tackle some of the Navys most pressing technical challenges.


Key Functions:

The successful candidate will be able to produce deliverables, in addition to working, documented and tested code, which may require the ability to perform the following:

  • Apply new innovative software engineering practices to Navy C4I programs.

  • Knowledge of Agile Software development / DEVOPS 

  • Produce and evaluate technical documents

  • Assist in planning and facilitation of key agile events ceremonies

  • Work with teams and product management on backlog grooming, breaking down capabilities features into epics user stories and estimating,

  • Gather, analyze and present a set of alternatives

  • present results and build consensus among disparate team members

  • participate in design and requirements gathering sessions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a BA/BS in Computer Science and 3 years related experience

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
Required Qualifications:

  • Strong writing, organizational, and visualization skills

  • Self-starter with ability to work both independently and with groups

  • Good communication and people-facing skills

  • Knowledge of system development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Knowledge and experience with Agile methodology is required

  • Secret level clearance

  • Software solutions experience using several of the following software languages and technologies:

    • Java

    • JavaScript;

    • Python

    • C/C++
