The candidate will provide technical support to a variety of government and internal projects in the area of sensor engineering. The candidates responsibilities will include conducting field experiments, analyzing data, modeling sensors & sensor system behavior, and prototyping new software algorithms for sensor control and signal processing for developmental systems. The successful candidate will have a background in electrical engineering, physics or math, as well as strong written and oral communication skills.

Key Functions:

  • Model, test, and analyze sensor systems at the system, module, and component levels in order to support hardware and software development. 

  • Prototype new software sensor control and signal processing algorithms for insertion into existing and developmental sensor systems.

  • Simulate sensors and sensor systems to evaluate their effectiveness in the mission context.

Required Qualifications:


  • Strong math skills and familiarity with at least one subject area typically employed in sensor systems: physics of wave propagation, signal processing to include optimization techniques for sensor management, raw data processing, detection theory, Bayesian techniques for tracker design, and machine learning techniques for classification.

  • Familiarity with MATLAB, or a similar programming language for prototyping, modeling, and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical, Computer or Systems Engineering and 3 years related experience.
