Job Details

Lockheed Martin is seeking and RF Engineer for a position in Grand Prairie, TX or Orlando, FL. Duties include:

Architects and designs Radio Frequency systems and circuitry.

Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers.

Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test.

Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics.

Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase.

Develops RF System / Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment.

Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources.

Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements.

Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs).

Performs RF system / subsystem / component trade studies and CAIV analysis.

Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis

The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the “Mid-Cities” region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. This North Central region of Texas is a great place to live and to raise a family. The region is home to numerous colleges and universities to include University of Texas at Dallas, University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Woman's University. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth

Basic Qualifications
Must have an active Final Secret clearance

BSEE, MSEE, PhD EE or BSPhys, MSPhys or PhD Phyics

Must possess expertise in RF system architecture and design, RF circuits, antenna design, digital and analog signal processing, and system simulation

Must have expertise in RF system definition, requirements analysis, and requirement flow down to hardware and software

Desired skills
Active TS/SCI clearance

Experience in RF seekers

Experience with radome modeling, simulation and analysis

Experience with electronic warfare


Understanding of critical RF components and subsystems, current and evolving

Must possess excellent presentation skills and technical writing skills
