Operations Research Analyst
generally supporting the Department of Defense Space Enterprise, to include Air
Force Space Command (AFSPC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP) and
other organizations and agencies, to include the Intelligence Community, as
required.













     Plan and execute
analytical studies of the military value of space-based assets.


     Lead
multi-disciplinary teams to research, define and solve problems affecting military
planning, requirements development, and system acquisition.


     Design and conduct
analyses of alternative architectures of space assets and supporting air and
ground assets to illustrate acquisition trade-offs for senior government
decision makers. 











     Advise government, FFRDC
and contractor study leads on operations  research techniques and methodologies.
















  Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field, and 3 years of experience. Candidate must be able to demonstrate an ability to apply advanced principles, theories and concepts comparable to those obtained with a Master's degree in a relevant field of study. Candidate should understand the missions, domains and challenges of MITRE customers. In addition, the candidate understands that he/she will be fully responsible for deliverables-including definition, completion, and technical quality, as well as assuring consistency across the responsibility span.

  Required Qualifications:










    MS in OR,
mathematics, computer science, or related technical field.




    Strong applied
statistics, stochastic modeling and/or optimization expertise.


Preferred Qualifications:











     3+ years of
related DoD analytical experience, including test and evaluation,   a Service HQ,
major command or operations center.




     Expert knowledge
and understanding of standard OR analysis techniques   and tools, modeling and
simulation.




     Well-developed
personal communication skills.




     Outstanding
ability to express new ideas, both orally and written.




     Superior ability
to articulate qualitative or quantitative analysis results to   support
recommendations.




        The ability to work both
independently and as a team member, and the ability          to handle multiple
simultaneous tasks and deadlines.
