MITREs Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Portfolio is seeking an experienced engineer to join our team Huntsville, AL. The focus of this position is definition of an interoperability coordination scheme to meet the Warfighters' need involving a US Forces Korea (USFK) Joint Emergent Operational Need Statement (JEON). As a MITRE engineer, you will leverage your knowledge of Link 16 to define a solution and support analysis, trades, and test case scenarios.


Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree with a strong Systems Engineering background

  • Link 16 interface, requirements, testing, and integration experience

  • Experience with requirements development, integration, testing, analysis, and verification knowledge

  • Possess understanding of ballistic missile defense system components and sub-systems

  • Experience with conducting analysis and trade study development

  • Proven technical leadership

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in systems engineering, interoperability engineering, and information systems

  • Experience in one or more of the following: missile systems, communications, command and control, fire control, and/or networking

  • Experience delivering results to the highest senior level audiences - in writing and via public speaking

  • TS clearance is a plus


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical,  Computer or Systems Engineering or similar field.  

  • Candidate should possess the ability to be responsible for deliverables or parts of deliverables to customers.
