The MITRE Naval Division is focused on delivering innovating concepts, technologies and methodologies that enable current and future Naval superiority.  Our Naval work program has a broad and dynamic set of projects that focus on research engineering, systems engineering, agile acquisition, cyber security, experimentation, and prototyping. We are seeking innovative and energetic engineers with recent Army, Navy or Marine Corps domain experience to collaborate closely with our sponsors and team to identify critical problems and develop approaches to address them.


Key Functions

  • Provide leadership as both a technical and thought leader, maintain currency in the latest relevant science and technology as well as developing new concepts for applying technology to warfighting problems

  • Develop, prototype, test, and/or assist with new capability development and technology evaluation


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical field, including but not limited to:  Engineering, Computer Science, Communications, or related field

  • Strong communications skills

  • Proven experience in:

    • Systems Engineering

    • Aircraft Systems

    • Requirements development, integration, testing, analysis & verification

    • Analysis & trade study development

    • Experience or training in one or more of the following:  aircraft systems, radars, cyber security, communications systems, command and control, and/or fire control

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • Experience in cyber vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, application of information system security principles to network security policy and training development, or other similar cybersecurity experience


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical,  Computer or Systems Engineering or similar field.  Candidate should possess the ability to be responsible for deliverables or parts of deliverables to customers.
