Key Functions

  • As an Agile Systems Engineer, you will provide assessments, analysis, guidance and recommendations to our sponsor on enhancing systems engineering practices across a wide range of systems and applications.

  • Experience with agile methodologies (including SAFe, SCRUM, Kanban, Lean) will be leveraged to inform process efficiencies and create an environment that is conducive to agile engineering.

  • Knowledge of agile approaches will be leveraged to provide and guide implementation of agile engineering practices tailored to best meet the contextual and situational demands for incremental delivery of value to stakeholders and end users.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.


Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a BA/BS in a 4-year systems engineering, computer programming, math, science or technology degree program and 3 years working experience.

  • Knowledge of agile methods, roles, and requirements development within an agile methodology (e.g., Scaled Agile Framework, Disciplined Agile Delivery, SCRUM etc.)

  • Experience using enterprise requirements and collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Rational DOORS NG/Team Concert, etc.)

  • Experience working with sponsor organizations and their customers to:

    • Gather and analyze a set of alternatives through interviews and facilitated sessions with stakeholders

    • Present results and build consensus among disparate team members

    • Support design and requirement elicitation activities

    • Capture business activities and workflows and identify inefficiencies or changes needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with the following:

  • Evaluating the existing environment for the ability to implement Agile

  • Planning and managing an organizational transition, including methodology and tool adoption strategy

  • Identifying process improvements

  • Business process modeling

  • Mentoring performers in their Agile roles

  • Training teams in planning and estimating sessions

  • DevOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery concepts, processes, and practices
Documented success in key functions including:

  • Conducting Agile Assessments

  • Supporting Product Owners

  • Agile Requirements Management

  • Agile Requirements Tools and Strategy

  • Agile Methodologies

  • Agile Road-Maps for Adoption, Tailoring, Training

  • Agile Communication and Collaboration

  • Agile Portfolio and Program Management

  • Agile Risk and Opportunity Management

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

  • Certified Scaled Agilist (SAFe)



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in one of the following disciplines, Electrical,  Computer or Systems Engineering or similar field.  Candidate should possess the ability to be responsible for deliverables or parts of deliverables to customers.
