MITRE is looking for an experienced System Engineer with project management skills. The selected candidate will assist the sponsor with transitioning a prototype technology and interim project from an interagency partner to the DoD Cyber Crime Center. The selected candidate will be responsible for all facets of the project transition and for the development of a follow-on program of record, to include project technical design and implementation into operations.


 


Work is to be performed in Linthicum, MD.



The selected candidate will be responsible for several items including, but not limited to:


  • assisting the sponsor in establishing policy concerning the new project

  • provide assistance to the sponsor for POM financial requirements

  • refinement of system concept of operations documents and project/system

  • integration into the sponsor's environment

  • design and integration of information flows across security domains

  • development of an information archival system across security domains

  • integration of an API and future developed capabilities from other FFRDCs and UARCs

  • assist partner agencies with system test and evaluation efforts

  • development of a stakeholder management plan

  • facilitate legal and policy coordination and review

  • facilitate the certification of the system for operation on DoD networks

  • develop an operational system training curriculum

  • develop system O&M requirements

  • working with technical staff to further test and develop the technology

Required Experience:



  • Experience as a Project Manager over a technical project where a prototype technology was put into an operational environment

  • Experience developing technical and non-technical document deliverables for a Government agency, such as, financial estimates, schedules, CONOPS, system, network, and information flow diagrams

  • Secret clearance is required at time of application. Candidate will be required to eventually obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Experience:


  • 4-6 years of experience as a System Engineer

  • PMP or other Project Management certification, or 2-3 years of recent

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience working in support of a cyber counterintelligence or network defense mission

Minimum Qualifications:


BS and 3 years related experience
