Job Details

The Lead Hardware Electronics Engineer will be responsible to overseeing product development and advanced engineering activities that are in direct support of driving innovation and technology initiatives for controlling functions on the compressor. This person will also be leading the development of advanced concepts for embedded, microprocessor based controls, sensing techniques and algorithms for refrigeration systems and compressor applications. This person will serve as the company's hardware electronics engineering focal point for new and advanced product developments.
  • Translates Marketing Product Requirements into Engineering Requirements 
  • Develops hardware for proof of concept models and feasibility studies 
  • Develops the requirements for embedded microprocessor based controls 
  • Manages the development of embedded microprocessor based controls, computational algorithms, embedded network protocols 
  • Develops various analog and digital sensing techniques, high current and power applications, motor theory operation & control, data acquisition, and algorithm development 
  • Provide technical direction to local and global design engineering partners, junior engineers, and co-ops 
  • Work to attain compliance from certifying bodies such as UL 
  • Field test / customer interface 
  • Create / conduct Training 
  • Manage Lab resources
Additional Information
  •  Travel: Up to 25%




  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus five (5) years of experience in electronics hardware design


  • Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus seven (7) years of experience
  • HVAC and Refrigeration knowledge a plus 
  • Global Design collaboration experience a plus
