Cyber Security Engineer sought to provide technical expertise, research, and engineering analysis to an Army sponsor in the areas of Cyber Security and Information Assurance.


Key Functions:

  • Develop and document security architectures and solutions for sponsor systems, applications, and networks.

  • Conduct design analysis and technical system security reviews throughout system and/or application lifecycle.

  • Develop lessons learned, internal processes, and TTPs for consistent and repeatable application of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) across sponsor systems.

  • Develop/derive standardized methodology for risk assessment of sponsor systems.

  • Establish the foundation for Continuous Monitoring Strategy for sponsor systems.

  • Conduct focused technology analysis and tradeoff studies in selected areas (e.g., cloud computing, continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessment, audit data collection and reduction.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS and 3 years related experience

  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with systems security engineering, including requirements analysis and system architecture design.

  • Practical experience in applying the RMF to government systems.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions between government sponsor, contractors and MITRE.

  • DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II certification

  • Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of Modelling and Simulation (M&S) systems

  • Practical experience with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)

  • Hands on experience with standard DOD vulnerability assessment tool sets (e.g., ACAS, SCC)

  • Experience with cloud computing and enterprise data centers

  • Familiarity with the DOD acquisition process

  • Strong writing skills
