We have an opening for an engineer with experience designing, operating, and securing industrial control systems (ICS) and critical infrastructure. The successful candidate will leverage this experience, along with an entrepreneurial approach, to conduct research and help our sponsors find solutions to their most complex problems.

Key Functions:

Perform research, design, analysis, hands-on prototyping, testing, and experimentation to help our diverse set of sponsors solve complex problems. Examples of this work might include:

- Leveraging ICS and SCADA network design and operations experience to develop new techniques to improve the resiliency and security of sponsor networks.
- Researching emerging ICS technologies and protocols.
- Conducting hands-on lab analysis to solve technical issues, consider potential integration opportunities, and understand performance/scalability issues.
- Working closely with industry to understand best practices and maintain a pulse of innovations in the networking and ICS areas.
- Researching novel approaches to leveraging sensor data to identify inefficiencies and anomalies in a network
- Performing hands-on assessments of capabilities in the networking and network security market to determine how these capabilities may work with existing sponsor infrastructure.
- Developing written products, technical reports, and prototypes that demonstrate novel solutions to sponsor problems.

Required Qualifications:


- BS Degree and 8 years of experience.

- Experience with networks, network security, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of fundamental layer 2, 3 and 4 networking protocols (e.g. IP, TCP, UDP, IPSEC, routing protocols, etc.). 
- Experience designing and operating ICS and SCADA infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Understanding of the threat landscape of network-connected ICS technology
- Hands-on experience with electric grid control systems
- Working knowledge of the NERC CIP standards
- Experience with packet capture and protocol analysis
