This opportunity is part of the F-35 International Systems
Engineering team. The selected candidate will employ their technical skills to support the Exportability and Parts Classification efforts on this exciting and dynamic program
This Exportability Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting the F-35 Air System Exportability Lead in the following areas. Ensuring exportability requirements are flowed in accordance with the Production and Sustainment contracts, to Mission Systems, Offboard Mission Systems, and Sustainment Value Stream Teams (VSTs), in support of international Partner and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Air System deliveries for DD-250 and site stand-ups. Ensuring the Air System exportability verification process is documented and adhered to for affected Air Vehicle and Sustainment capabilities. Providing technical guidance to the VSTs regarding the releasability and proper marking procedures of products and data to international customers
This position also provides export/import jurisdiction and classifications (J&C) of F-35 Parts being exported and imported into and out of LM Aero for the F-35 Program. The candidate will need to read and understand technical design documents, specifications, drawings, and coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Represent the F-35 Engineering Department and the Chief Engineer’s Office in providing the engineering technical assessment of the export/import commodity jurisdictions. Ensures that the Traffic Department has all the necessary information to make shipments (i.e., license, exemption number, value of the shipment for Customs purposes, etc.). In instances where classification is unclear, the Export Engineer coordinates with engineering, procurement and International Trade Compliance (ITC) Office, as required to get a summary of the product’s design, history, usage, specifications, drawings and descriptions, in order to make a determination

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access
Secret clearance required to start and ability to obtain SAP/SAR clearance

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience of System Engineering Processes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and discern priorities in a dynamic environment

Desired skills
- Technology Transfer Controller (TTC) Trained
- Previous project management experience
- Knowledge of the engineering tools, Visualization Mockup (VAS), CATIA and Product Data Manager (PDM)
- Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of LM and Government Stakeholders
- Experience with National Disclosure Policy (NDP) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) as they pertain to the F-35 program
- Knowledge of F-35 Contract Specification Requirements
- Willing to learn new information and horizontally integrate with disciplines outside of their own to work through complex issues
- Experience with JSF Data Library (JDL)
- OLDP graduate or prior production experience
