**Parsons is seeking a** **Senior Electrical Engineer** **to be seconded to a client’s** **waste water treatment facility in the San Francisco, CA area** **. This Senior Electrical Engineer shall have** **significant medium and low voltage power distribution** **, lighting, grounding, communication, and instrumentation system design experience on industrial and/or municipal facilities** **.** **Water** **and wastewater facilities design** **, installation, and site startup/commissioning experience is a significant plus.**
+ **As a Senior Electrical Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible to plan and perform design reviews for significant facility upgrades and will function as the owners’ engineer for these upgrades.**
+ **You will be responsible for new and modified facility electrical power system designs from the initial conceptual / feasibility study and cost estimating phase through detailed design, installation, and startup phases.** **This is low and medium** **range power distribution voltage up to 13.8kv.**
+ **You may be called on to perform work as well as plan, direct, and supervise the work of other electrical engineers and designers engaged in delivering the design and installation of new and modified facility electrical power systems and equipment.**
+ **You may prepare and/or review electrical design drawings, calculations, and documents, conduct site inspections, review contractor submittals, respond to contractor requests for information (RFIs), and/or provide technical direction to construction and startup/commissioning personnel engaged in all phases of both small and large projects.**
+ **This position also may entail being engaged in the preparation of facility electrical equipment procurement, installation, and testing specifications, bid documents, bid evaluations, and subcontract management.**
+ **You will be responsible for the quality of the electrical engineering deliverables and tasks performed and completing projects on-schedule and within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations.**
+ **You will also review vendor and contractor electrical reports, diagrams, and equipment specifications for technical accuracy and conduct shop and in-field reviews of project quality to ensure adherence to approved project design plans.**
+ **As a professional electrical engineer, you will assure the electrical design is compliant with all applicable codes and regulations and may be required to affix your engineering seal and signature when required by statute.**
**** Relocation is not offered for this position**
+ **8 -10 + years of professional electrical power system engineering and design experience.**
+ **BS in electrical engineering. Power systems electrical engineering degree preferred.**
+ Significant facility medium and low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, communications, and instrumentation systems design experience in industrial and/or municipal facilities; with specific water and wastewater facilities design, installation, and site startup/commissioning experience a significant plus.
+ Demonstrated leadership role in facility electrical power system engineering and design, installation, and site startup/commissioning.
+ Working knowledge and hands on experience with power system analysis software tools such as ETAP, Paladin Design Base, and SKM, etc. and performing short circuit, load flow, voltage drop, device coordination, and arc flash analysis on facility electrical equipment and systems.
+ Working knowledge of applicable IEEE, ANSI, IEC requirements as well as applicable NFPA/NEC codes.
+ BS in electrical engineering. Power systems electrical engineering degree preferred.
+ **Current active electrical PE license in CA is required.**
+ Knowledge of relevant facility instrumentation, controls, automation, communication, and **SCADA systems** is also a significant plus.
