Stantec has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Electrical Engineer** in our Dallas, TX (Merit Drive) office.

**Your Duties:**

**Position Overview:**

Stantec is seeking a talented, team-focused Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager to join our MEP team in Dallas, Texas (12222 Merit Drive). The Senior Electrical Engineer/Project Manager is responsible for management, preparation and coordination and of all technical activities on assigned project. The position plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates assigned engineering work, monitors work for compliance to applicable codes and accepted engineering practices and standards, and ensures that all assigned personnel are coordinating their activities with other project participants and that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied. This position is expected to have significant technical knowledge and awareness to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing and to initiate appropriate corrective actions.

The Project Manager acts as the designated representative for Client and jurisdictional agency personnel, and coordinates of all internal activities performed by engineering staff.

**Typical duties will include but not limited to the preparation of the following:**

+ Project schedules and forecasts.

+ Preparation of electrical plans and reports.

+ Coordination and checking of engineering deliverables (QA&QC).

+ Monthly project status reports and change orders.

**Responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:**

+ Prepare and review electrical construction plans, specifications, and equipment selections for a variety of different project types including commercial, multi-family, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, retail, etc.

+ Coordinate with other disciplines including architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and clients.

+ Manage electrical staff, allocate resources, and direct the activities of other engineers.

+ Mentor and train electrical staff.

+ Perform all phases of electrical work including proposals, field investigation, factory studies, energy analysis, construction documents, and construction administration.

**Your Capabilities and Credentials:**


+ Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

+ Minimum 10 years’ experience designing electrical systems for a variety of project types.

+ Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA, IBC, as well as LEED and green building requirements.

+ Project management experience desired.

**Skills and Special Requirements/ Licensing:**

+ Texas P.E. license, or ability to obtain one within four months of hire.

+ AutoCAD and REVIT skills desired.
