AO/Security Engineer (AllianceBernstein L.P.- New York, NY) Design, implement, manage and support the firm’s internet and remote access infrastructure. Analyze and monitor the information security systems across the company’s global network of offices and workstations. Manage perimeter security appliances including Web Proxy with URL Filter and Anti-Virus Scans, Firewalls, DNS, DLP, File Transfer and Load Balancing. Configure and troubleshoot any issues related to security devices. Analyze business security requirements and evaluate various technology solutions across multiple platforms to safeguard internal information systems and databases. Research, deploy and maintain systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases. Recommend and implement changes to enhance system and network security. Liaise with senior management on changes to the security infrastructure and conduct security audits and investigations as needed. Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool to analyze security device logs and create reports for upper management.

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Telecommunication Networks or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or with deploying security technologies including Juniper/Fortinet/Checkpoint Firewalls,Remote Access Servers, Proxies (web and ftp), DNS, Network Monitoring and Alerting (NNM, NAS, ACS or Sitescope) and Security Information & Event Management (SIEM). All stated experience must include the following: configuring routing protocols in a production environment; implementing security technology in a global corporate environment; TCP/IP protocol suite and data networking; delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders or vendors; communicating complex technical information to internal and external clients; and, programming with Shell, Perl or a similar scripting language.
