Job Details

This position is in support of the Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) program, responsible for SBIRS support to Missile Defense Agency and additional USAF interfaces. It will be located in Colorado Springs, CO:
- Lead SBIRS component of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) testing campaign using the Test Support Capability (TSC) and provide TSC training to new team members. Provide testing status and planning back through CORE End-to-End lead
- Responsible for MDA test campaigns planning and execution. Works with troubleshooting teams in identifying system anomalies and developing technical solutions
- Monitor currency of CORE team members’ facilities and classified systems accesses/certifications, and assist with maintenance of those accesses/certifications on an approximately annual basis.
- Manage CORE team data transfer and data archiving as required and document vaulting processes
- Provides support to SBIRS System test efforts to include pre-test coordination/setup, RM&D shift lead/data collection, mission test execution, and system verification as needed
- Plans, coordinates, conducts, and reports on test and integration activities involving the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA), Tactical Event System (TES), and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Networks and for SBIRS software releases and hardware installations

They will also provide technical support to military and contractor program leadership at a variety of boards, panels, and other forums:
- Supports and provides technical information to the MDA planning campaigns
- Provides technical information and assistance regarding SBIRS in response to Higher Headquarters requests
- Responds to requests from technical support contractors on other programs to gather and provide SBIRS information

This position will require travel along the Front Range of Colorado, and will also require occasional out of state travel for meetings and system test activities on various aspects of the SBIRS program

Basic Qualifications
- 7 years Satellite system experience
- SBIRS experience
- Experience in system level (SW / HW / NW) testing methodology and processes
- Background/experience in developing/executing test plans
- Active SCI clearance to start
- Comms system experience
- Experience with MDA Test Campaigns

Desired skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work with little supervision
- Background/experience with system integration processes/activities
- Experience working with the Test Support Center (TSC)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
