Job Details

Provide in-orbit support for LM A2100 and heritage spacecraft customers as a senior member of the Customer Response Center (CRC). The CRC is an organization within LMCCS Customer Services dedicated to satisfying the needs of in-orbit customers. Serve as the prime interface for assigned customers to provide in-orbit technical support and ground systems warranty issue resolution. Establish a positive working relationship with customer counterparts to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Perform tasks including spacecraft anomaly response/resolution, closure of technical issues and actions, customer spacecraft insurance related tasks, and other in-orbit support needs. Initiate the customer support process, obtain needed technical support, and manage the actions of assigned subsystem engineers in the performance of technical tasks and anomaly resolution. Ideal candidate has sufficient A2100 spacecraft knowledge to respond to customer questions in a timely manner, with minimal support needed from subsystem engineers

Lead budget estimates, determine required resources, establish schedules, and direct the technical operations support actions to respond effectively to customer in-orbit requirements. Communicate with customers to obtain trending data, coordinate spacecraft operations activities (e.g., special in-orbit tests, data collection actions) and accomplish operations planning activities. Coordinate with LMCCS Mission Operations personnel to obtain necessary resources (e.g., TT&C capabilities) to support customer real-time operations needs and anomaly resolution tasks

Coordinate activities, requirements, status, and results with organizations including Engineering; Program Management; Mission Success, and Mission Operations. Generate status briefings and closure reports and communicate results to customers and internal management

Maintain the CRC databases, and perform queries of historical data as required for studies of fleet performance and other activities. Support design review preparations to provide technical background for corrective action implementation to engineers supporting program offices

Accomplish export control tasks including review and approval of technical data meeting all International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements. Understand and utilize Technical Assistance Agreements and other export licenses to ensure proper export processes are followed and that only approved information is exported. Use the International Trade Express (ITEX) to manage the initiation and approval of technical data for export

Focus on identifying incremental process improvements that the team can make to improve efficiency and customer response time

Support the annual LMCCS Customer Spacecraft User's Technical
Conference planning and execution

This position may require travel - both foreign (remote sites) and domestic. Some overtime will be required, possibly including weekends

Basic Qualifications
-Experience in satellite operations or engineering (preferably
A2100) to include:
-Satellite Operations experience
-Spacecraft anomaly evaluation/resolution
-Spacecraft bus Operations/Test/Design experience
-Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills required

-Excellent understanding of satellite Electrical Power, Thermal, GN&C, and
Propulsion Subsystem Design

-Commercial communications & satellite operations
-Cost Account Management (CAM) Experience/Training

-Six Sigma Blackbelt
-On-orbit battery management experience
-Payload Operations/Test/Design Experience
-Foreign language skills are highly desired
